lyrics
I stand upon this island, a castaway of sand
From withered bones an ocean, a howling storm
Reading from the omens, I fled the scorn
(The) work done by my hands, no one understands
Burning tales of end times, world lost of form
Prophecy of shadow upon these lands
An unkindness of ravens, where we stand
In fragments of time I hear your name
As a whispered silent song
In the aftermath when the towers fell
In the ashes a broken picture frame
a fire that burned so long
In the aftermath when the towers fell
I wonder who I am
Madman or prophet?
I saw the seven horsemen, riders from the dark
I told of words of demons, voids of scarlet stone
Now is naught but silence, our sins atoned
I hollered from the mountains, in crowded streets
I carried heeds and warnings, of flood and flame
Lost in the wind, nothing left but my name
An unkindness of ravens, where we stand
Are we cursed to be ever blind?
Shall we seek but never find?
Will we make the heavens burn
To live and never learn?

These guys are, in my opinion, one of the greatest stoner/sludge band that have popped up in recent years. Sure, you have the "old gods" like Sleep, Electric Wizard, and Kyuss but Spaceslug brings something new to the table. They're fresh, and it seems like they've got no thought of stopping anytime soon.
